  1. Tentacles
    1. Only distal suckers are those of the terminal pad.
    2. Terminal pad with 13-16 suckers.
    3. Pigmentation absent proximal to carpal locking apparatus in midoral and ventro-oral regions of stalk.
    4. Carpal locking-apparatus with 8-9 suckers.
    5. Club with 21-22 hooks.

  2. Mantle
    1. Posteroventral mantle with well-developod keel (photograph far right).
    2. Chromatophores absent in a large patch between fins.
