Often elongate salticids, with relatively complex palpi.

Identification
The palpi are distinctive in North America, but some species are unique in their extremely elongate bodies.
Habitat
The smaller, squatter species are ground-dwellers (lineata); others are foliage dwellers. M. pikei is known from grasses and other thin vegetation.
