Introduction
The genus ranges from Mexico to southern South America. Adults are attracted to rotting fruit. The ventral surfaces of the wings bear a remarkable resemblance to dead leaves, and the butterflies are very well-camouflaged on the forest floor. Some species even exhibit small hyaline spots that look like holes in the leaf!References
