Introduction
This Mexican and Central American species shares with the sympatric yucatecana and variegatus prominent pale patches on the chelicerae of the male and a relatively small embolus, but differs from both in having a patch on the clypeus between the AME of distinctly yellow scales and in lacking prominent pale patches on the abdominal dorsum. The erect portion of the embolus broadens more gradually into the base than in yucatecana. The female is orange, superficially bearing close resemblance to Nagaina incunda, but differs in having yellow scales on the face even under the AME, and in having stronger epigynal flaps.
