Brownimecia clavata
Characteristics
Brownimecia clavata is basically plesiomorphic in most respects, with the exception of its sickle-like mandibles, genal teeth, and high helcial attachment (which may indicate a relationship with the Amblyoponinae, although this is far from resolved) (Bolton 2003, Grimaldi et al. 1997).References
