Medium to large for Bembidion. Humerus non-angulate. Central sclerite complex of male internal sac with an exceptionally thick ventral margin of the right lobe, otherwise very similar to Odontium and Bracteon. The first stylomeres of females have numerous (eight or more) long setae.Habitat
Found on shores of rivers or streams, usually on with some cobbles or shingles in addition to sand. B. rufotinctum is the only exception; it is found in cracks in tilted strata exposed in rivers.Title Illustrations
